With such a diverse range of cultures, music backgrounds and experience on display, Groove Assembly offer a versatility, not often seen in the industry. Performing Jazz, Swing, Soul, R&B, Funk, Latin and Brazilian genre’s, each is always delivered with a true sense of authenticity, style and sophistication. Whether you choose a particular show from our menu below, or a combination of two - or all three, you can be assured of a high quality product for your event.

 

A SLICE OF ROMANCE: What is romance - without music? What is a romantic memory - without that song, which takes you back to a special moment in your life? Just like sumptuous gateaux, Groove Assembly promises to serve-up a sweet ‘Slice of Romance’, via songs from some of the greatest romantic composers and singers, ever to grace the music industry, with songs like: Unforgettable (Nat King Cole), This Guy’s In Love (Burt Bacharach), Something Stupid (Frank Sinatra), Night and Day (Cole Porter), How Can You Mend a Broken Heart (The Bee Gees), When I Fall In Love (Nat King Cole) and Have I Told You Lately (Van Morrison).

 

SOUL 2 SOUL: When you think of ‘Soul’, your mind is most likely going to conjure up thoughts of such artists as - Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Bill Withers, Chaka Khan, Al Green and others of this ilk. If indeed, any of these names strike a chord with you, then Groove Assembly’s ‘Soul Train’ is most definitely on the right track. If you were around in the 70’s and 80’s, this will be ‘music to the soul’. If you weren’t around, come along and see what you missed out on, with songs like: Respect (Aretha Franklin), Superstition (Stevie Wonder), Lovely Day (Bill Withers), My Girl (The Temptations), On Broadway (George Benson), Papa Was a Rolling Stone (The Temptations), Let’s Stay Together (Al Green), It Only Happens (Renee Geyer) and Reminiscing (Little River Band).

 

 

ALL THAT JAZZ: In the words of that memorable song, from the film and stage show – 'All That Jazz' - ‘Everything Old is New Again’. That’s certainly the case for Jazz and Swing, which is reveling in a revival of gargantuan proportions. Modern day artists such as - Michael Bublé, Harry Connick Jr., Norah Jones and Diana Krall, have opened up Jazz and Swing, to a whole new market. So too, Groove Assembly is happy to entertain the newly introduced, to these great music genres, as well as bringing back that touch of nostalgia to the already converted, with songs like: Begin the Beguine (Cole Porter), Mona Lisa (Ray Evans/Nat King Cole), The Look Of Love (Burt Bacharach), Sway/Quién será (Luis Demetrio & Pablo Ruiz), The Summer Wind (Frank Sinatra), Georgia On My Mind (Ray Charles) and Mack the Knife (Louis Armstrong).
